Has anyone actually taken the time to think about what makes a war story real? We know of wars because we live in a society where news about war is a daily happening. We see it in the news, read books about it, watch television shows about it. Yet, do we know what is really real about a war story? I wrote an article a little while back that may give insight to such things. Take a few minutes and read it through. I'm sure it will be worth your while.

You'll find that what is real is very disturbing and that the soldiers themselves sometimes are unsure of what to expect. Honestly it seems as if WAR includes expecting death at every step and anticipating it before it takes your card and punches you out.
